Promising return

The news comes about two weeks after Neve Campbell announced on her Instagram account that she would be returning as Sidney Prescott. Campbell said:

”Hello everyone. I am so excited to announce this news!!! Sydney Prescott is back!!!! It has always been a pleasure and honor to play Sidney in the Scream films. My appreciation for these films and what they have meant to me has never diminished.”

And she continued: ”I am very happy and proud to say that they have asked me, in the most respectful way, to bring Sidney back to the screen and I couldn’t be more excited!!! Well, actually it could.”

”While I’ve been incredibly fortunate to make these films with horror master Wes Craven and the wonderful team of Matt and Tyler, I’ve dreamed for many years about how incredible it would be to make one of these films with Kevin Williamson at the helm. rudder.” he continued

”And now it’s happening, Kevin Williamson is going to direct Scream 7! This was his baby and it is his brilliant mind that dreamed up this world. Kevin is not only an inspiration as an artist, but he has been a dear friend for many years. To the amazing Scream fans, I hope you are as excited as I am. See you on set @kevwilliamson,” he concluded.

“Scream” creator and writer Kevin Williamson also shared his excitement on Instagram. Williamson noted that it has been almost 30 years since he wrote the first script for “Scream,” directed by the legendary Wes Craven.

Now, he will direct the seventh installment of the franchise and is grateful for the opportunity to continue the story alongside Neve Campbell and possibly Courtney Cox.

Although there is no confirmed release date yet for “Scream 7,” the film has faced some setbacks in the past.

However, with these returns it is hoped that the film will continue to captivate fans and attract new audiences.
