With sad words.. George Wassouf presents the song “Nass Omri” as a gift to his late son, Wadih

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the passing of his eldest son, “Wadih,” the Syrian artist George Wassouf released a new song entitled “The Text of My Life.”

The song, which was dominated by the sad atmosphere of separation, was written by Khaled Taj El-Din, composed by Muhammad Yahya, and released by the artist George Wassouf on his YouTube channel, as well as through his official pages on social networking sites, accompanying it with the phrase: “The text of my life”, a song for the spirit of “Wadih” in memory of Forty stole love from his feast.

With a trembling voice, “Abu Wadih” sang with great grief:

“From early on, I wish for you… and my heart went with you

It didn’t come to mind one day…you’re ahead of me and I’m walking behind you

If my tears flowed, I would collapse… If I lived a thousand days

I only see night… it doesn’t come out during the day.”

The song was filmed as a video clip under the direction of the Lebanese director Tony Kahwaji, and the clip contained many pictures and impressive video scenes of the most prominent moments that brought Al-Wassouf together with his liver, which he described in the song as the kindest of people to him.

Al-Wasuf also stressed the meanings of family and the importance of their interdependence in the clip by sharing pictures of his family together on the song “Coblet”, whose words say:

“My days with you are beautiful… I wish they were long

We live with some family … I complete my life with it.”

This sad and touching song is issued at difficult times in the region as a result of the devastating earthquake that claimed thousands of victims, and made many people live in grief and oppression over the families, friends and loved ones they lost.

On this occasion, the artist George Wassouf shares with everyone feelings of sadness and sympathy for their loss and the tragedies they were subjected to as a result of this painful affliction, calling on God Almighty to shower the souls of the victims with His mercy and dwell them in His spacious gardens, condoling their families and their families, and hoping that his expression of the pain of loss that he expressed in His new song is a balm, albeit a simple one, for everyone feeling the brunt of losing loved ones and dear ones forever.
