The leader of the left received the folder
BSP received the third mandate to form a government. Not at the ceremony in the Presidency, the head of state Rumen Radev explained that he stopped at the left in search of the best chance for a working cabinet.
“In times of strong political opposition, the BSP not only managed to maintain dialogue with all parties represented in parliament, but also showed that it can compromise and reach agreement, enter into coalitions and govern together with its ideological opponents, interact equally well with both new and old political formations”, added the head of state.
Radev hopes that the BSP’s pursuit of a strong social policy and strengthening of Bulgarian parliamentarism will be another motive for forming a regular government.
Ninova for the third term: We want to negotiate with everyone
For her part, BSP leader Cornelia Ninova thanked for the trust. “We understand the gravity of the situation and the responsibility assigned to us. We will do everything in our power to have a regular government. We really proved that we can talk sensibly, calmly and with responsibility towards the national interest of Bulgaria. We will continue in this spirit to seek agreement and form a regular cabinet, which is so necessary for our country”, she specified.
The meeting between the BSP and the president took place in a friendly tone because of Ninova’s birthday. Radev presented the leader of the left with a large bouquet of red roses, and she handed him a box of candies.
