From June 1, the document is issued in the European format
PIN, ID number and reference number of the vaccine. This is the information that everyone who already has a vaccination certificate will have to enter in the health information system in order to download the updated document according to European requirements free of charge.
The new certificates are generated automatically, but their withdrawal will be possible after June 4. The data are entered on the website www.his.bg in the section “Me and my family”.
The vaccine reference number can be found on the old certificates immediately after the batch number. At the moment, in case of two-dose immunization, the certificate is set to be generated by entering one of the two reference numbers, regardless of which dose. However, there may be a new requirement to enter both reference numbers separately and generate two certificates for each dose, respectively. This idea is currently being discussed by the European Commission, which must come up with a final decision.
Bulgaria is among the first 7 countries that managed to immediately introduce European certificates. The others are Denmark, Germany, Greece, Poland, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
As of June 1, anyone who has just completed their immunization will receive their document in the new format.
