With a large team of 44 elite sportsmen, the Ioannina Nautical Club participated in the 3rd Panhellenic Indoor Rowing Championship, held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium by the Hellenic Rowing Federation and the Eretes Club . The tournament received the highest attendance.
The Ioannina rower won a total of nine medals, one of which was one gold, three silver and five bronze. More specifically, Zisis Boukouvalas won the gold medal in the 2,000 meters for the Young Men. Silver medals were won by Iasonas Mouselimis in the 2,000 m adolescent race, Kon/nos Giannoulis in the 2,000 m Adolescent race and Nefeli Dara in the 2,000 m Junior race. Kon/nos Mavrogiorgos won bronze medals in the Boys’ 1,000m, Lydia Sikalou in the Girls’ 2,000m, Gabriela Lioliou – Nefeli Dara in the Women’s 1,000m 2x relay (with ECOFNS), Gabriela Lioliou – Nefeli Dara – Stavromiula Gialoglidou in the Women’s 2,000m 4x relay (with ECOFNS) and Zisis Boukouvalas – Kon/nos Giannoulis – Dimitris Koutras – Vassilis Kostoulas in the Men’s 2,000m 4x relay. And the rest of the Marine Club’s rowers produced excellent competitive performances in the event, thus contributing to the success.
