Jena.
A 31-year-old had waved a knife at a bus stop in Jena. Then he fled, but was noticed a little later in a men’s toilet.

A 31-year-old caused a stir on Wednesday morning. At around 10 a.m., the Jena police were informed that a very drunk person was at the “Am Klinikum” train station, made confused statements and said that they wanted to hit someone. Meanwhile, the man pulled a knife from his backpack and waved it aimlessly in the air. Before the police arrived, the man got on the tram and fled. Despite an intensive search, he could not be apprehended.

At around 11 a.m., a witness reported that he had noticed a man in the men’s toilet of a supermarket on Karl-Marx-Allee. He seemed very drunk and could hardly wake up. The officers then found on site that the description of the man with the knife matched the sleeping contemporaries 1 to 1. The bread knife was also found and seized during a search.
