Cultural highlights that are worth seeing: In Gleisdorf, a colorful cultural program is offered in the open air over the summer months.
The popular Music Fridays in the heart of Gleisdorf offer plenty of rhythm again this year. Because one thing is certain: balmy summer nights can be enjoyed particularly well with live music! That’s why there are concerts every Friday until August 12th to dance into the weekend with a wide variety of styles from different bands and DJs. Five dates will take place on the forecourt of the Haus der Musik, with seven restaurateurs from Gleisdorf inviting you to the grand finale “in the city”. It starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free.
Theater & Open-Air-Sommerkino
The free open-air summer cinema has already become a tradition: on three Thursdays (beginning at 9 p.m.) classic films and current blockbusters are shown in front of the GEZ West shopping center, at the Buschenschank Maurer and on the main square. On another four days (beginning at 4.30 p.m.) the theater of the “puppille – Summer Play City” will enchant young and old in the forumKLOSTER park. A highlight this year will be the ORF Steiermark Klangwolke, which transforms the forecourt of the House of Music into a large concert hall.
Kirta tradition meets today’s trade
The event of the year in the solar city of Gleisdorf takes place every year on the last weekend in July, when thousands of visitors gather in the city center for the TIP Kirta to meet friends, enjoy entertainment and go bargain hunting. The end of the summer program in 2022 will also be the Street Food Austria Festival at the beginning of September on the main square in Gleisdorf, with exhibitors from all over Europe who will delight you with international delicacies.
