Ryans has managed to give an identity to his defense that is characterized by not stopping fighting in every play and this was evident in the performances of the depth defenders such as rookie Kamari Lassiter, Jalen Pitre and Derek Stingley Jr. They all pressed well against their receivers and broke plays at key moments. Another defender who excelled against the Bills was linebacker O Zeez Al-Shaair executing tackles against the running game everywhere.
The offense with CJ Stroud showed signs of what it can be when executed cleanly.
Stroud threw an interception, but found a way to overcome adversity and once again carried the team forward.
Receiver Nico Collins continues his brilliant campaign by contributing with a 67-yard touchdown after catching a gem of a pass from CJ
Unfortunately, Collins was injured on that play, apparently it was a strain, and he did not return to the game.
We’ll see how much time Collins will miss. In the absence of Collins, other players had to appear to take the game and once again it was running back Dare Ogunbowale, who was key with timely carries and receptions.
The return to the lineup of receiver Tank Dell helped and the interventions that Stefon Diggs, Dalton Schultz, Xavier Hutchinson and Cam Akers had were decisive in sealing the victory.
Once again the Texans achieve a team victory and that is perhaps what best defines this team until this point in the season. They are Texans who, despite having stars on their roster, do not depend on a few figures, their strength is found in the collective game.
Everyone contributes something to the cause.
This coming Sunday the Bulls travel to New England to face some Patriots who are far from their good times, but in the NFL no team can be trusted and the Texans must be cautious not to fall into a trap. Let’s go Texans!
