Just like it new portrait of King Philip, which was shared Friday before his 62nd birthday, this image was also taken by ‘home photographer’ Bas Bogaerts. The princess was photographed on the royal domain of Laeken. In the photo we see her wearing blue jeans and a black debar door with white checks. In her arms Eléonore carries the two dogs of the family: the white four-legged friend they have had for years and was named Jeep, while the brown one was added later and is called Simba.

Princess Eléonore’s birthday plans are not shared by the palace. The princess is the fourth and youngest child of Queen Filip and Queen Mathilde and is a student at the Sacred Heart College in Wezembeek-Oppem. Initially, Eléonore wanted to complete her secondary school career at the Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels, where she had already attended primary school. But because she no longer had an older brother or sister in secondary school, she was not given priority in the registrations and was unable to secure a spot.
