The display of Real Madrid’s goalkeeper, Andrey Lunin, in the quarter-finals against Manchester City included 120 minutes of saves, resistance to bursts, tremendous ability and above all: stopping two penalties in a duel from the penalty spot. Lunin was the one who lifted Real with his own hands, literally, to the semi-finals of the Champions League. “I’m exhausted. It’s something that didn’t happen to me, but now I’m the happiest person in the world. I worked hard for this,” he said at the end, “I’m not the hero or the main character here. The team is full of heroes, everyone did a great job and fought for 120 minutes.” The victory in penalties also released a little humor from the Ukrainian goalkeeper: “In the end, I have the easiest job. I didn’t even run for five minutes, I can’t imagine myself running for 120 minutes like my friends.”
