Two reports from the Ulmer Spatzen that give hope for the first points this season.
First, to report 1: SSV Ulm 1846 Fussball has signed the 20-year-old center forward Aleksandar Kahvi? from the Serbian first division club OFK Beograd.
The 1.92m tall Kahvi? has both Bosnian and Serbian citizenship and spent most of his career in the youth teams of the current Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade. With the Red Star U19 team, he won the Serbian U19 championship twice before moving to OFK Beograd via loans to Maccabi Haifa, OFK Beograd and Zeleznicar Pancevo. In a total of 16 games for OFK, Kahvi? scored 14 goals and provided 2 assists. In the current season, he leads the Super Liga Srbije goal scorers list with five goals in six games. The 20-year-old has so far played for all of the youth teams of the Bosnian national team, from the U17 to the U21, contributing 10 goals in 23 games.
SSV managing director Markus Thiele: “We are delighted that we have been able to sign Aleksandar, a player who fits the profile of speed, size and physical presence that we are looking for. He has had a remarkable season so far and we are confident that we can offer him the necessary framework for long-term positive development as a young player here in Ulm.”
It is not yet known when the new centre forward will be able to play. Could he already be in Paderborn?
