NEW YORK (AP) – RJ Barrett hit a 3-pointer on the horn and helped the New York Knicks turn around to beat the Boston Celtics 108-105 on Thursday night.

Evan Fournier scored a career-high 41 points, and the Knicks overcame a 24-point deficit in the second quarter. The series ends Saturday in Boston.

Jayson Tatum scored 36 points for Boston. He tied the game with a shot from a distance with a second to go. The Knicks served after a break and Barrett shot from long range for the win.

Julius Randle added 22 points for New York, Immanuel Quickley added 16 and Barrett 13. The Knicks didn’t take the lead until two minutes remained.

Dennis Schröder added 20 points for Boston and Jaylen Brown had 16.

Robert Williams’ shot in front of the basket, 1:16 seconds before going into halftime, extended Boston’s lead to 24 before the Knicks ended the period on an 8-0 streak and went into the break 63-47 .
The Knicks led 99-98 with a triple by Fournier with 2:06 left.
