With an investment of more than $80 million, Dosquebradas will transform the educational infrastructure

So far in 2024, investments of around $87 million have been made and jobs worth $470 million are expected by the end of the year.

Mayor Roberto Jiménez launched the development of educational infrastructure in Dosquebradas. To date, a total of approximately $87 million has been invested in various works, including the maintenance of the Diocesan Educational Institute and the Pablo Sexto. Painting materials were also acquired and improvements were made in the educational institutions of Cartagena, Agustín Nieto Caballero and Enrique Millán Rubio. In addition, maintenance was done on the restaurant at the headquarters of Eduardo Correa and the replacement of the flat floor at the new headquarters of the Institute of Education of Guadalupe.

Likewise, before the City Council, an investment of $470 million was announced for this year, which was to change rooms and sanitary batteries at the headquarters of Jorge Eliecer de los Ríos, the maintenance and change of San Pedro and San Pablo, and maintenance of the motor pump and the septic tank of Fabio Vásquez Botero.

The Secretary of Education, Fernando Caballero, said that “I want to tell the community that we made a report on educational infrastructure, we are telling them about the investment we are going to make of 470 million pesos, which is going to be for our educational institutions. At the head of Roberto Jiménez, we have thought about beautiful, safe and practical environments for our students.”

Other changes announced include improvements at the Básico Otún educational facility, installation of ceilings at the Cartagena Educational Institute and the distribution at the Diocesan Educational Institute. Interventions were also made at the Manuel Elkin Patarroyo, as well as studies and planning for the headquarters of Santa Isabel.

Finally, in the area of ​​democracy, the strategic projects of the Development Plan ‘Let’s Transform Dosquebradas’ have been assigned, which include the completion of the Bernardo López Pérez Educational Institute, the construction of the second phase of the Los Andes Educational Institute and the management. for the construction of the Comuna 2 mega school.
