‘With a woman’s voice’ arrives in Santiago | Radio Galicia

Cadena SER organizes in Santiago on April 16 the forum ‘With a Woman’s Voice’, a communication space for women from all walks of life. A day to share, reflect and become aware of the challenges that still have to be achieved. It can be followed by streaming through the Radio Galicia website. The Vice President of the Government, Carmen Calvo, will close the conference after a morning of intense debate and enriching discussions in round tables and presentations with the aim of inspiring both women and men, young people, institutions and companies.

The forum, held in the Congress Palace of Santiago de Compostela, will be moderated by the journalist Macarena Berlin and will have two presentations, one by the writer Naked Freire, and another that will impart the prosecutor specialized in gender violence, Pilar Fernández.

After a talk with women who have pioneered professions that were traditionally occupied by men, in which the lieutenant colonel of the land army, Cristina Larriba, two FP students of bodywork and metal constructions, and the dean of the USC’s Faculty of Mathematics, Elena Vazquez Cendon, Berlin will chat with journalist and writer Valeria Vegas.

Next, there will be a colloquium on the situation of women in today’s society and micromachisms, in which the USC professor and secretary of the university’s center for feminist studies, Jorge Marin, author of several books on feminism and new masculinities, the president of the equality commission in Congress, Pilar Cancela, Rosa Gómez, president of Teenses for Equality, who has spent her entire life defending the rights of women and a young activist, María Araújo.

The conference will also address the wage gap and the glass ceiling, at a table in which the designer will participate Tiziana Dominguez, the leader Lucía Freitas, the councilor for social policies of the city of Santiago, Mila Castro, Y Mother Bouza, CCOO Secretary of Employment.
