With a fresh narrative and a rock atmosphere, the General Directorate for the Dissemination of Science (DGDC) of the UNAM leads the new proposal called Súbele a la ciencia, through which high school students, from 15 to 18 years old, will learn how a radio and television program is made simultaneously, being the protagonists in each broadcast.

In the first season, the National Preparatory School campuses will be visited to establish a close dialogue through knowledge and music, by interviewing prominent researchers on topics of interest such as artificial intelligence, multiverses, sexuality, climate change and astronomy. The aim is to bring them closer to scientific knowledge.

The broadcast will be live on Radio UNAM at 96.1 FM and 860 AM; in addition, work on digital media will be intense, focusing on Instagram, Spotify and YouTube.

The program will have the following sections: The interview; Like and digital trends; Science and joystick; Rock science, in which some musical groups will participate; ExploraLab, step by step the scientific facts; among others.

Some broadcasts will feature content creators who will share their experience with attendees on their trending platforms.

At each school, science outreach workshops and demonstrations will be held to promote their interest in scientific and humanistic culture, allowing them to explore their creativity and understand how scientific principles apply in their daily lives and in the world around them.

The project has the participation of various university entities such as: General Directorate of Computing and Information and Communication Technologies; General Directorate of Community Care; Radio UNAM; TV UNAM; General Directorate of the National Preparatory School; and the General Directorate of the College of Sciences and Humanities.

Some of the collaborators who have joined Súbele a la Ciencia are: Technology with Google-Mexico, ¿Cómo ves? Magazine, Mexican Network of Science Journalists, UNAM Science Portal and UAM Radio.
