The concert program will feature two Viennese classics composed by light moods and sparkling energy. The JVLMA Symphony Orchestra’s Octet will perform VA Mozart’s Serenade at Mibemol Major KV 375. An early version of the composition for a smaller group of musicians was made in 1781, while the idea for the octet came a year later .
L. van Beethoven’s Septic Mibemol in Major, Op. 20. Composed in 1799 and played a year later, the septa dedicated to the Empress of Austria and the wife of the last Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Franz II of Habsburg, Maria Theresa, earned immediate public recognition. To this day, this is one of the most famous compositions for an ensemble of seven people, which has found its place in many sheet music editions and arrangements of various instruments.
