CHICAGO (AP) – Cuban Luis Robert had two home runs, Dylan Cease matched his career high with 11 strikeouts and the White Sox beat the Cubs 13-1 in a Chicago game on Sunday.

Eloy Jimenez, Yasmani Grandal and Brian Goodwin also homered for the White Sox, who went 5-1 against the Cubs this year. Robert, Jiménez and Goodwin drove in three runs each.

José Abreu hit a two-run double in a fifth inning in which the White Sox scored seven times, bringing the Cuban to 101 RBIs with 29 games remaining. The reigning AL MVP drove in the most touchdowns in a career season with 123 in 2019.

Jiménez and Cease, who were acquired by the White Sox from the Cubs as part of a five-player trade for Colombian left-hander José Quintana on July 13, 2017, continued to haunt their former team.

After Abreu’s two-out double on a hit that went over the head of Venezuelan center fielder Rafael Ortega, Jiménez hit Kyle Hendricks (14-6) with a three-run home run deep in right field that hit the team. White Sox an 8-1 lead.

Jiménez is hitting .372 (43-16) with six homers and 14 RBIs in 13 games against the Cubs.

Cease (11-6) took the victory by conceding one run and four hits in six innings. The right-hander was 4-0 with a 2.68 ERA in six starts in August.
