With 4 million forints, the Catholic Caritász helps the students of the collapsing college in Vác’s sister city – you can join too!

At the request of the dormitory of the Tamási Áron High School in Székelyudvarhely, which collapsed on Monday, Katolikus Karitász provides HUF four million support to alleviate the financial loss of the affected students and their families – writes vaconline.hu.

The Catholic Charity stated that it expresses its sympathy and would like to contribute to the victims and the students of the college with immediate support.

In cooperation with the local organizations of Gyulafehérvár Caritas operating in Transylvania, the Catholic Caritász ensures the rapid delivery of help: the organizations acquire and deliver the necessary equipment and keep in constant contact with the local crisis committee, they wrote.

They also indicated that the Catholic Caritasz and the Gyulafehérvár Caritas have already launched a joint project several times, and this cooperation now also enables the quick response to the disaster. In addition to mitigating the crisis, the aim of the cooperation is also to provide long-term support for the students, they added.

Attention was drawn to the fact that those who wish to contribute with their support have the opportunity to join the charity campaign with online support at www.karitasz.hu page, or by bank transfer to bank account number 12011148-00124534-00100008 with the message “Székelyudvarhely”.

After the tragedy Csilla Pető A Fidesz-KDNP local government representative expressed his condolences on his social media page: “As a Váci local government representative, I was shocked to learn about the disaster and tragic accident that happened in our sister city, Székelyudvarhely. It is our responsibility to rush to help and support the citizens of our sister city in these difficult moments! My condolences to the affected families, students, and teachers! Let us pray for them!”

Zsolt Imre, and the head of the Váci Civic Forum announced that they are looking for an opportunity to make contact: “A tragedy occurred in an institution of our sister city Székelyudvarhely. Part of the dormitory of Tamási Áron High School collapsed, burying four students under it! We are looking for the opportunity to get in touch and see how we can help. Our sincere condolences to the relatives of the deceased,” Zsolt Imre wrote on his social media page.
