A seven-year-old girl named Angelina was accused of witchcraft. The child was diagnosed with multiple fractures of the arms, legs, stab wounds throughout the body and several burns on the lips and genitals.
Two weeks ago, the girl was rescued, she is in the hospital. Once Angelina’s health has stabilized, she will be transferred to a safe place.
The publication noted that the police arrested the child’s torturers and brought charges against them.
This is the second time a child has been tortured over false accusations of witchcraft. In 2017, a girl was rescued in Papua New Guinea, who found herself in a similar situation.
