Witan Sulaeman scores debut goal, FK Senica wins

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

FK Senica clinched a 2-1 win over GKS Jastrzebie in a friendly match which marked the first goal Witan Sulaeman at the Senica Stadium, Saturday (5/2) evening WIB.

Senica played with a 4-2-3-1 formation in this match. Coach Pavel Sustr played this formation by playing two Indonesian national team players, Witan and Egy Maulana Vikri as starters.

Egy is plotted as a right-wing attacker while Witan fills the left-wing striker post.

Senica did not start this match well. The hosts actually left ahead of the visitors who appeared in Poland’s second caste competition.

Jastrzebie opened the scoring when the game had only been running for nine minutes. Konrad Hadzlik’s shot from inside the penalty box rattled Senica’s goal, which was escorted by Henrich Ravas.

Senica only needed five minutes to make it 1-1. The goal of the team nicknamed Zahoraci was scored by Witan.

The goal began with Witan’s movement without the ball into the penalty box. The player from Palu first outwit the defender Jastrzebie, which was followed by a right-footed shot that headed to the left corner of the goal.

The goal scored by Witan made his team-mates even more excited to score. Pavel Sustr’s team proved to be able to turn things around to 2-1 through their striker, Giannis Niarchos.

Senica got several other opportunities including from Egy. Unfortunately, Egy and Witan’s slick cooperation on the right side of the attack did not result in a goal because Egy’s shot still did not meet the target.

At the start of the second half, Senica’s coach, Pavel Sustr, made a change. He pulled out Witan who scored the equalizer in the first half.

Witan’s exit does not necessarily reduce Senica’s impact. The hosts even almost won 3-1 if the opposing goalkeeper did not thwart the golden opportunity that Egy got in the 63rd minute.

Egy was able to execute a free kick well which was slightly outside the penalty box. However, the execution of the player from Medan that led to the goal could be thwarted by the opposing goalkeeper who made an acrobatic save.

After that several other opportunities were created by Senica. However, no additional goals were created until the second half was over.
