Wisła Płock SA

Pomorski for three points against ŁKS!

In the match of the 11th round of the Betclic 1st League, Wisła Płock defeated ŁKS Łódź away 1-0. The only goal was scored in the 60th minute by Nafciarze’s graduate, Krystian Pomorski. In the 80th minute, Pirulo missed a penalty kick.

After the change of sides, the hosts attacked strongly. Pirulo carried out a spectacular rally, and his shot from twenty meters was saved by Gostomski. For about 5 minutes, ŁKS repeatedly tried to threaten our defense, but it performed flawlessly. In the 52nd minute, Marcus Haglind-Sangre tried to respond from a distance, but his shot was slightly too high. After several more attacks by the hosts, the Oilers tried to do something specific! In the 58th minute, the Krystian Pomorski-Oskar Tomczyk duo appeared on the pitch and it was Pomor who immediately opened the scoring, finishing Pacheco’s pass with a volley. In the next part of the match, both goalkeepers had a chance to calmly catch the ball after the opponents’ hit, but in the 70th minute it should have been 2-0 for Wisła. Sekulski intercepted the pass at the 25th meter, and the ball fell at the feet of the recently introduced Iban Salvador. He decided to lob Aleksander Bobek, who went almost to the penalty area line, but missed the shot between the posts. Around the 75th minute, the Płock team kept the ball under the Łódź penalty area for a long time and tried to find a gap in their defense, but it did not result in a goal. When we moved to the second sixteen, Haglind-Sangre fouled Husein Balić, for which referee Kwiatkowski awarded the hosts a penalty. The captain of ŁKS, Pirulo, took the penalty kick and… missed the goal! In added time, ŁKS still had a chance to equalize, but Gulen and Balić made a mistake, so Pomorski’s goal turned out to be the winner and three points went to Płock!

The Oilers will play their next match on Saturday, October 5. That day at 5:30 p.m. we will host Polonia Warszawa at the ORLEN Stadium.
