Tonight, Saturn will be opposed to the Sun, making it appear much brighter from the Earth’s surface. This is the perfect opportunity to see the gas planet and its majestic rings.
Using an ordinary lenticular telescope, we will also be able to see Saturn’s largest moon – Titanium . It is worth noting that the gas giant will seem exceptionally large today, as it will be located at perigee – the point in the Earth’s orbit closest to our planet.
The gas giant will be visible from 21.58 Polish time . It can be viewed until 3.34 am. The best visibility will be at 00.46. Saturn it will then be at its highest point. The location of the northern hemisphere of the planet relative to the Earth will also allow us to observe majestic rings, tilted to our line of sight at an angle of 18 degrees.
