FC Winterthur is worried about Markus Kuster. The goalkeeper had to be substituted due to injury on Saturday.
Markus Kuster had to be substituted at half-time in the league match between FC Winterthur and FC Luzern on Saturday. Immediately before the half-time whistle, Kuster was taken down by Luzern striker Lars Villiger.
The Winti goalie was then treated for a long time and continued playing. At half-time, however, Kuster was replaced by the recently signed Stefanos Kapino. A black eye had formed under Kuster’s right eye.
Winti writes on his channels about the incident: “We keep our fingers crossed for our goalie Markus Kuster and hope that he was not injured after the opponent’s rough attack. He had to be substituted after a hard collision during the break. This is how Stefanos Kapino made his championship debut.”
Because the planned transfer of Marvin Keller could not be realized, Winti started the season with Kuster as number 1. The game in Lucerne was then lost 0-3.
