The board of the traditional event announces the cancellation on its website. The reasons for this are the continuing uncertainty, the measures and the difficult search for sponsors. Philipp Schleiss, co-president of the Frackwoche association, told the “Landbote” that even holding a thousand participants would not be financially viable. Many regular sponsors have canceled due to the current difficult economic situation.
But despite the pandemic, there is no need to do without any aspect of the tailcoat week. The beer announcement and the last shave will simply take place online in 2021. The tankards can also be obtained like every year.
