The policeman was working in the office of the Winterthur city police. He resigned his service while he was still in suspension.

He let his anger run free and now, two years after the action, he has to answer for it: the former Winterthur city police officer Alfredo G. * (47). He slowed down another driver, cursed at him and threatened him with his police ID, even though he was traveling in civilian clothes. Not a good idea for an officer!
–
Today he has to answer for presumption of office, multiple willful gross violation of traffic rules, coercion, abuse and assault before the Zurich District Court.

Hundreds of thousands have seen his freak out on the Internet. The person who was arrested, the Tunisian haulier Mustafa A. * (37), filmed the entire action with his cell phone and posted the recording online. A huge shit storm, the immediate suspension and finally the voluntary departure were the result. Alfredo G’s police career was thus sealed. Separate proceedings are ongoing against Mustafa A., Alfredo G. has also reported him. Despite the filming, the presumption of innocence applies.

Wild west on the north ring
The prosecution lists the rabble action in great detail. In September 2019, Alfredo G. is driving his private Audi S4 on the busy Nordring in the direction of Zurich. It’s afternoon and it’s raining heavily. The wife and two children are also in the car.
–
One and a half kilometers after the Zurich Gubrist tunnel, the officer was driving in the fast lane when suddenly a Citroën C4 also switched to the left lane just ahead of him. G. could have braked, but the oats sting him. He changes to the right lane and tries to overtake.
–
Prosecution: That is presumption of office
When that doesn’t succeed, he squeezes himself back behind the C4, according to the indictment, into a completely inadequate gap. The plainclothes policeman overtook the right again and put his Audi in front of the Citroën. He opens the window and waves his bright orange police ID. It is a clear invitation to the driver behind him to follow his car. He does so even though he is outside of his local jurisdiction, the prosecution said. He acted with the intention of bringing the driver of the Citroën to a stop in order to be able to discipline him. That lies outside of his competencies, that is presumption of office.
–
At the Zurich-Seebach exit, the angry officer leaves the A1 and stops in the single-lane area. He gets out and gesticulates wildly to the stopped C4. With his police ID slung around his neck, he screams through the open driver’s window. He calls the driver “son of a bitch” and shouts: “I’ll finish you!” Mustafa A.’s little daughter sits in the car crying, completely frightened. No reason for Alfredo to be moderate.
–
Another right overtaking action
When the car driver does not drive to the construction site as ordered, the police even hit the plaintiff’s head according to the prosecution. When the Tunisian drives on, he forces him to stop again with a right-hand overtaking action and threatens that he knows where Mustafa A. lives.

The public prosecutor is demanding a conditional prison sentence of seven months and a fine of 3600 francs for the ex-police officer in the office.
