Winterthur city council increases childcare contributions for parents of children with disabilities. Until now, the Municipality has covered the additional costs for more intensive therapies only if the parents were already entitled to supplementary benefits. The city council has now adjusted the relevant regulations in the day care center regulation. All affected parents are now reimbursed for the additional costs, as announced by the city of Winterthur. Contributions to parents of children with serious disabilities will also be increased. The city of Winterthur expects additional costs totaling CHF 200,000. The new rules enter into force on 1 January 2023.
