Olympic champion Felix Loch is proud of his son’s first day at school. But his luge friend Natalie Geisenberger makes a crazy mistake.
Munich – The new school year usually begins in Bavaria at the beginning of September. This year, school started on September 10th in Germany’s largest state. More than 1.72 million children and young people are starting school – including 134,000 first-graders. One of them is called Ludwig, the son of a winter sports legend.
Winter sports legend is happy about his son’s school enrollment
Felix Loch, father of Ludwig, born in 2018, proudly shared a photo on Instagram. In it, the parents and little Ludwig smile happily into the camera. As is customary in Bavaria on such occasions as the first day of school, lederhosen and dirndls are worn. Mother and wife Lisa Loch posted a “date night” at a traditional costume store in her story on the same day. The couple had also been in Paris shortly before, the Wife of German Olympic legend found her husband’s performance “embarrassing”.
“Here’s to a great school time and good teachers! We are very proud of you, Luggi!” Loch writes on the family photo and adds a red heart. The firstborn of the two Loch sons, Lorenz, who was born in 2017, is missing from the picture. It can be assumed that Ludwig’s older brother started school last year. Last year The Neureuther family also celebrated their daughter’s first day at school – with a funny Lederhosen picture.

The first day of school is usually accompanied by various customs: Of course, the school cone cannot be missing from the family photo. Little Ludwig proudly clings to his red and black “sugar cone” with lots of funny motifs on it. Loch fans are delighted.

“A great start to school, Lenzi!” writes the mother of a daughter and a son on Instagram. Lenzi is Ludwig’s older brother Lorenz. Geisenberger notices her mishap around five hours later.
The six-time Olympic champion is ashamed of her faux pas and sincerely apologizes: “Did I write Lenzi?? Um… maiomai, you should only do one thing at a time. So, have a good start to school LUGGI and have fun at school on Lenzi. Oh God, sorry.” Ludwig should get over the brief mix-up and look forward to learning at school.
