Winter precipitation with a risk of slippery roads

Sunday morning there are clearings in the west and the center of the country. In the east the clouds are more numerous. During the day the clouds gradually increase from the west but it remains dry until the evening. The maxima fluctuate between 2 and 6 degrees with a mostly light and moderate coastal wind from the east, shrinking to the north. The RMI reports this.

On Sunday evening and night, a precipitation zone with winter precipitation slowly moves over our country from the east. Some mist or a few freezing fog banks can form early in the night. We expect snow in the Ardennes quite soon, making the roads slippery. In the second part of the night, the disturbance with melting snow or rain moves further to the center and the west of the country, with the risk of slippery roads. The minima are between 0 and -2 degrees. Winds are usually light from north to northeast, turning west later and increasing to moderate.

The RMI also warns against unfavorable conditions with regard to the use of water heaters and fireboxes for heating rooms. All residents are advised to be very vigilant about symptoms such as ‘headache’ or ‘tendency to vomit’ as these can be a result of CO intoxication.

Monday morning it is overcast with precipitation, especially in the northeastern half of the country. In the Ardennes it is probably about snow. In Low Belgium, winter precipitation may first fall, before turning into rain. In the afternoon, the outage leaves our country via the north. The maxima fluctuate between 0 degrees on the Hoge Venen and +6 or +7 degrees on the sea.

Tuesday, after the local morning gray has cleared up, it is usually dry with some clearings. At the sea, the clouds are more numerous and a shower is not excluded. The maximums fluctuate between 0 degrees in the Ardennes and +5 degrees at the sea. Wednesday, it is usually dry but there are many low clouds. It remains cold with maximums between 0 and +5 degrees.
