We welcome February with snow almost all over the country
The last day of January will offer us sunny and windy weather almost all over the country until the early afternoon. The clouds will start to increase later, but there will be no precipitation during the day. The wind will also subside in the evening. Daily temperatures will be between 4 and 9 degrees.
Above the mountains the wind will be stronger, in the high parts of Stara Planina, Rila and Piri even stormy at times. The day will be sunny until noon, only later in the afternoon the clouds will be more, but without precipitation. Thermometers will range from minus 6 degrees on high peaks to plus 1 in low massifs.
A new cyclone in the Adriatic will determine the weather in the Balkans on Tuesday and Wednesday. It will snow in Bulgaria on Tuesday – first in Western and later in Central Bulgaria. It will rain in the east, which will turn into snow with the fall of temperatures in the evening and on Wednesday. During the rain the weather will remain mild with daily temperatures between 0 and 4-5 degrees. Expected new snow cover – between 5 and 15 centimeters, in the Balkan Mountains and the massifs of the Southwest – up to 20-30 centimeters.
On Thursday, the clouds will start to break with possible light snowfall. It will be windy with a feeling of cold weather. On Friday morning, temperatures will drop to minus 8 – minus 10 degrees in areas to the west, where clouds are minimal. In the last days of the first week of February there will be warming with daily temperatures during the weekends around and above 10 degrees in some areas.
