Winter has Tyrol fully under control. Heavy snowfalls have been falling over the Alps since Saturday. There are disabilities on many roads. In some places the power went out.
In the village of Prägraten below the Großvenediger (3657 meters) an avalanche broke out on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. It hit the district of Hinterbichl at an altitude of 1,300 meters.

The exit was so severe that snow penetrated four houses and blocked the access routes. Nobody was injured or killed – the Austrian authorities had anticipated the avalanche and asked residents to leave their homes beforehand.
In East Tyrol, the state in which Prägraten is located, 94 centimeters of fresh snow fell on Saturday. More snow is expected over the course of Sunday.
