Winter and rain in different parts of Saudi Arabia until Sunday

RIYADH: The Meteorological Center has announced that rain and winter will continue in different parts of Saudi Arabia until Sunday. Tabuk, Al Jouf, the northern border region of the country, Hail and the northern Madinah region will experience a decrease in air temperature from Wednesday to Friday. There will be light snow in some places.

Temperatures can drop by five to one degree Celsius in some areas. There will be a good drop in temperature in the eastern regions of the country and in various parts of the cities of Qasim and Riyadh. The temperature here can be seven or four degrees Celsius. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Mecca and Azir regions from Thursday to Sunday.

The Center warned that areas like Makkah, Riyadh, Eastern Province, Albaha and Jizan will also experience thunderstorms during these days. According to the National Meteorological Center, there is a chance of moderate to light rain in Qasim, Hail, Northern Frontier, Al Jouf, Tabuk and Madinah Friday through Sunday.

Saudi Customs says alcohol should not be sold in duty free shops
RIYADH: Zakat, the tax and customs authority will not allow the sale of alcohol in duty free shops operating at airports and other border crossings in Saudi Arabia. The authority clarified this in response to a question posted on his Twitter handle.

The authority added that the decision complies with the rules and requirements for setting up duty free shops. On Friday, Zakat, the tax and customs authority, established the customs rules, conditions and procedures for opening duty-free shops at air, sea and land gates according to the Unified Customs Law for Cooperation Council countries Gulf Arab (GCC). This includes determining requirements, operating licenses and other related regulations related to the operation of duty free shops.
