Three games closed the second week of the 2024-25 National Hockey League campaign, a day in which the Winnipeg Jets managed to maintain their overwhelming start, while the Los Angeles Kings took the California duel at the home of Anaheim Ducks.
The distinction for the most outstanding duel went to the match that closed the show.

After a start of four losses in a row, Colorado seems to have recovered its offensive power and on its visit to the SAP Center in San Jose, the team relied on Ross Colton‘s double, along with Joel Kiviranta’s score, to add its second win in a row, this time with a score of 3-1
Colton did all the damage in the first period. Starting with his score at 6:23 of that quarter, when he capitalized on a Power Play sequence to make it 1-0. Then, at 16:37, the 2021 Stanley Cup champion with Tampa Bay slipped through the opposing defense and connected with a perfect pass from Mikko Rantanen to extend the lead.
In addition to Colton’s two goals, Joel Kiviranta and Cale Makar also helped the Avalanche’s cause, scoring in the third period. For his part, Nathan MacKinnon joined the production of eight different players on his team who added at least one point, thanks to distributing two assists.
