LONDON, 23 September 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The opening of the Odyssey 2024 Film Festival and the Odyssey Sustainability Film Awards (Odyssey SFA) took place on Monday evening, 16th of September, at the Ritzy Picturehouse Cinema in Brixton, London. The event was attended by over 160 guests from the cultural and business sectors.
Representatives from State Grid Corporation of China, Lenovo Group, Yili Group, Golden Concord Holdings, NIO, Sophie Films and other award-winning organizations attended the awards ceremony before the official opening of the festival.
Now in its 4th edition, Odyssey is the UK’s largest film festival focusing on Greater China and Chinese communities worldwide. Running alongside the annual film festival, Odyssey SFA aims to encourage businesses, NGOs, charities and individuals to use film as a medium to reflect and share about their sustainability actions.
A total of 94 films were submitted for Odyssey 2024. After two selection rounds, 12 winners in various categories were selected for the Sustainability Film Awards.
The winning films can be streamed worldwide for free via Odyssey’s official festival platform.
