Winners of the Comedy Pet Photo Awards 2021: Hilarious pet photos that will make you laugh

Every owner has undoubtedly done it before: your pet does something crazy and you capture it on camera. It is also a daily activity for the participants in the annual Comedy Pet Photo Awards. A yawning ferret, a crazy dog that jumps up or a puppy that is stuck by the cushions in the seat. These photos all won awards at the Comedy Pet Photo Awards.

Pets are not only cute and super pretty, they are also the biggest jokers. They don’t do it consciously, but often put a smile on our face. The Comedy Pet Photo Awards, a competition for the most hilarious pet photos, were created by two professional photographers to highlight the important role pets play in our lives and raise awareness for animal welfare.

Photographers from different countries around the world submitted their gems and a four-person jury chose the ones that made them laugh the most.

The big winner is Lebanese nature photographer Michel Zoghzoghi. The photo shows kitten Alex getting ready to pounce on his unsuspecting sibling. The photographer wins a cash prize of around 600 euros.

“Max and Alex are a really cute duo. I had more fun photographing these two slobs than on my most adventurous trips capturing wildlife,” said winner Michel Zoghzoghi.

“I am so happy that I can promote ferrets as pets with my photo,” she says. “They are intelligent, fun-loving, social creatures with great personalities and an overdose of cuteness.”
