Winner The Perfect Picture wants to keep photography as a hobby for the time being | NOW

Bibi Breijman, who was declared the winner of Tuesday The Perfect Picture, has no plans yet to make photography her job. The influencer already has a number of plans to practice with it further, she says in conversation with NU.nl.

“I will certainly continue with photography, but as a hobbyist”, says Breijman. “I’m not going to charge money for it, unless it’s an assignment that suits me, then I want to think about it.”

Shooting the cover for an album by her boyfriend, singer Waylon, she still sees herself doing. “Then I can consult with him and he would honestly say what he likes and dislikes. But for now I still find it quite scary to do a professional job. Maybe I should get some confidence in that.”

There are already some photography trips on Breijmans planning, including a visit to Ameland, where part of the final of The Perfect Picture was recorded. “I thought it was so beautiful there, so I take my grandmother with it. To spot birds or something, haha. It seems the perfect combination to relax. Take a nice walk and look around you, become one with nature Nobody gets bad about that, right? “

‘Votes from jury never go away’

Before Breijman participated in The Perfect Picture she was already photographing a lot. “But just as much as any other father or mother. When you have a child, you keep clicking because you like everything so much. The Perfect Picture I now look differently at the photos I take – the voices of Cynthia and William (Boll and Rutten, the jury members, ed.) never leave my mind, haha. “

Breijman is most proud of the photos she took of her grandmother, a triptych that the influencer had to make about her roots. Her grandmother was in a Japanese camp as a child and the photos show, among other things, that she and her son, Bibi’s father, are visiting the Indisch Monument in The Hague.

“That was much more for me than an assignment from a competition. A lot has happened in the meantime, her husband has become seriously ill and died. I was already close to her, but our bond has become even stronger because she left me for the photos. told her past and confided in me. Her partner was also very sympathetic. After the broadcast I received a lot of reactions from people with similar stories, who for example survived the Japanese camp. “

Breijman also has good memories of the team and its fellow candidates. “We were close, perhaps because of the crazy time in which you do this together. I am very grateful that the team put so much effort into ensuring that this went smoothly. If someone had complaints, everyone had to be tested again and sat down. to work the production late into the night. Then you don’t start complaining about a photo that is too blurry, but you enjoy such a competition more, because it really is a gift. “
