Winner of the Golden Radio Ring | The 538 Morning Show

During the 18th edition of the RadioRing, De 538 Ochtendshow was declared winner of the Golden RadioRing for Best Program. Tim Klijn, Rick Romijn, Niels van Baarlen and Florentien van der Meulen received the coveted prize. With this win, De 538 Ochtendshow won the programs De Q afternoon show with Domien Verschuuren, The Friday Move, Jan-Willem Start Op! and leave KINKSTART behind. AVROTROS organized the festive ceremony in the Vorstin in Hilversum. The presentation of the evening was in the hands of 3FM DJ Rob Janssen.
Tim Klijn is the big winner of the evening, because in addition to the Golden RadioRing, he also takes home the RadioRing for Best Presenter. The other nominees for this award were Bram Krikke (Qmusic), Domien Verschuuren (Qmusic), Tim op het Broek (KINK) and Wilfred Genee (BNR Nieuwsradio).
This year’s RadioRing for Best Podcast goes to Through the Eyes of the King, in which Edwin Evers talks to King Willem-Alexander about ten years of kingship. The other contenders were Geuze & Gorgels, Moordcast, Moordzaken and Pantelic Podcast.
In addition to the three audience prizes, the jury prizes were also awarded this evening. The Marconi Award for Up-and-coming Talent has been won by Jan van Poppel (NPO Klassiek & NPO Radio 1/BNNVARA) and the Marconi Award for Best Transmitter goes to SLAM!. It was previously announced that Ghislaine Plag received the Marconi Oeuvre Award.
Between the awards there were performances by Numidia, Marco Schuitmaker and The Jordan. The ceremony could be followed live via the AVROTROS YouTube channel.
