This afternoon all of Italy is in “Wind down”. The telephone company’s network has stopped working throughout the Peninsula, not allowing no incoming or outgoing calls. There are thousands of user reports on the DownDetector site, which specializes in detecting service malfunctions.

The breakdown would have started around 4 pm today, Wednesday 3 February, and it still does not seem to have been resolved. Many WindTre abounded are complaining about telephone line problems, but the disservices also concern the internet.
According to the DownDetector charts, it still records a peak of reports with over 7,500 users who in the last half hour have identified inefficiencies. For 71% of cases there are difficulties in receiving or forwarding calls and messages, while for 19% it is the absence of internet and for 7% a total blackout.
Also from the Downdetector site, which collects all alerts and provides real-time information on the status and problems of all types of telecommunication services, the map shows how the inefficiencies were mainly concentrated in the most densely populated provincial capitals: Milan, Genoa, Turin, Verona, Bologna, Perugia, Rome, Naples and Palermo among the most affected cities, but the breakdowns also involved other municipalities on the Peninsula.

As often happens in these cases su Twitter l’hashtag #winddown it appeared among the most popular trends, with hundreds of subscribers flocking to the social network to voice their complaints and understand what is happening.
“So I’m not the only one who can’t make / receive calls?” is a user question.
“For over two hours, Wind’s voice network has been totally knocked out throughout Italy, judging by the angry comments on the dedicated fault reporting sites. THEthe problem is really big huh? Can you tell us more or less what is happening? ” asks for another account citing the profile of the telephone company.
“The customer app doesn’t work, the internet doesn’t work !! The connection is interrupted, very slow ”and again “Confirm phone line problems? You can’t call or receive! ”, Are some of the complaints on Twitter addressed to Wind Tre.
At the moment, however, the manager has not responded to requests for information or issued an official communication.
