The PC Health Check application is installed as part of the update KB5005463. The app was previously available to download voluntarily, and after a scan it tells you whether the computer in question is ready for the update to Windows 11. If not, the app indicates which parts of the computer must first have an update.
Windows 11 has considerably higher minimum system requirements than Windows 10 and Windows 8. Therefore, computers older than three to four years were in danger of being excluded from the update to Windows 11, although Microsoft did make those requirements somewhat has relaxed.

App gave wrong advice
The app was initially set too strict. In June, users were therefore shocked by the report that their computer would not be suitable for an update to Windows 11, even though it is. The app has since been improved and the advice is correct. Windows 11 was released early this month and is free for all Windows 10 users.
The PC Health Check app that is installed is also suitable for synchronizing settings between an existing and new PC. Users who want the app can simply uninstall it, according to Microsoft. Some users say to Bleeping Computer that they cannot uninstall the app. However, the site notes that there is little reason to uninstall the app: PC Health Check does not start automatically and takes up little space.
