Windows Media Player returns

Microsoft is developing a new Media Player application for Windows 11 that also plays music and video.

Microsoft has decided to launch a new Media Player application develop for Windows 11 – this is released to all Windows Investors. The software also plays audio and video, and its interface matches the design of Windows 11.

Of course, album art is also featured during playback, in both full-screen and mini-modes. They promise to have a well-organized music library, and the new Media Player will replace the Groove Music app. Playlists are automatically migrated.

Microsoft promises a comprehensive multimedia experience for playing, browsing and organizing local videos, and keyboard features are being updated. Development is still ongoing, meaning Insider testers will encounter bugs during the test. By the way, the old Windows Media Player will remain available in Windows 11 within Windows devices.
