Windows councilor Texel destroyed for the third time

For the third time in six months, the windows of the home of municipal councilor Ben Zegeren (CDA) have been destroyed in Den Burg on Texel.

At the beginning of October, the windows were pelted twice with stones, in the night from Saturday to Sunday a piece of heavy fireworks was stuck on a window and detonated.

“It was a butterfly, a variant of a cobra,” says Zegeren NH News. “Glued to the window with duct tape.”

Motive unknown

The explosion left a large hole in the window glass, leaving shards of glass in the front yard. Nobody was hurt.

The perpetrator has been captured on a security camera. It seems to be a young person. Zegeren has no idea what the motive could be. “We don’t even know. We have no idea why.”
