Released and to be installed already, Windows 11 has proven to be a system that is mature and ready to be used by everyone. This Microsoft revolution wants to create a new interface and a complete image for the system and its apps.
Windows 11’s biggest problems are being caused by Microsoft itself and its security requirements. If its impact is limited to a lot of machines, in China this problem has a global dimension and the Chinese government and the imposed limitations are to blame.
Windows 11 limitations imposed by Microsoft
The biggest problem and limitation most often found in Windows 11 is even the mandatory presence of TPM 2.0. This is one of the two security measures that Microsoft has taken from the very beginning and is one of the most important for this system.
There are ways to get around this limitation and be able to install Windows 11. These do not work in all scenarios, and are also not completely reliable and secure. Microsoft itself has already revealed a way, but warned of potential problems associated.
TPM in China does not exist because of the government's fault
This scenario has been the biggest problem for users and now it has an even bigger impact. The case arises in China, where the TPM was forbidden for more than 20 years by the country's own government, as a measure of protection for local users.
To offset this ban, the Chinese government ended up creating an alternative, which it called TCM (Trusted Cryptography Module). This will supposedly have higher security standards, but was eventually overlooked by Microsoft in defining the Windows 11 specifications.
Problem can be solved soon
With this gap, apparently deliberate, all PCs present in Chinese territory are thus prevented from upgrading to the new Windows. They can do it, but they won't have updates like the rest of the planet.
With Windows being the most used operating system in China, it is very likely that a dirty solution will very soon. Microsoft already started to open some loopholes in the obligation of TMP 2.0 and probably here you'll find space again to open Windows 11 more to users.
