As you can see, Office’s new look adopts the simplicity of color and rounded corners in the toolbars of your major applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Access, Project, Publisher and Visio.7

The new interface is now available to every Office Insider user on the Beta Channel, and you can switch between the old and new interface if you wish. To do this, tap the button indicated in the GIF below and enable the option “Test the new experience”.
–
It is worth noting that this button is only available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote, so if you want to activate the new design in Access, Project, Publisher or Visio you need to open one of them and toggle as indicated.
Note that to have the new design you must have Office version 2108 Build 14301.20004 or later installed on Windows 10 or 11.

It’s important to remember that Office Insider Beta versions often have issues, such as this one. So we only recommend that you install it on a computer that is not intended for professional or daily use, as these bugs can bother and even make it impossible to use the software in certain situations.
