The maker of Windows has scheduled an event for June 24 where it promises to present the next generation of Windows. All the surprise Microsoft had in store for us for the event was ruined by a leaked ISO of Windows 11 in an early version, it has quickly spread throughout the network. However, it seems that the surprises do not end there.
Windows 11 SE, First screenshots of a light version of the operating system
It turns out that the Twitter user @fakirmeditation shared screenshots of a version called Windows 11 SE Dev Build 21996.1. As its name suggests, it is a light version of the operating system with different feature cuts, one of which would be the Microsoft Store, which would be blocked by default.
This is Windows 11 SE, seems to be a successor of Windows 10 Cloud Edition, with it restricting quite a few settings and seemingly requiring a online account (as offline account creation is broken in OOBE). pic.twitter.com/QMaz3vWRD2

Windows 11 SE Dev Build 21996.1According to the leak, it would be a version (or perhaps a mode) with many restrictions and requires an online account to function. Win32 applications work fine on SE and XDA has also confirmed the detection of some missing settings in the SE version of Windows 11, including the phone and search settings to try to lighten the use of the operating system as much as possible.

The development of Windows 11 SE It would be currently in development, although we do not know if this version will really see the light beyond its existence among the developers who are collaborating with its creation.
Again, we will have to see the Microsoft event on June 24 to find out what Windows 11 has in store for us and if this ‘SE’ version is really going to exist. We will keep you informed.
