Windows 11 is still a little far from reaching the goal that Microsoft wanted for the system, not being one of the most popular systems on the market. But the distance to that is getting smaller and smaller.
According to data from Valveregarding Steam users, Windows 11 is now reaching a new record mark for market share, with 36%.
Valve’s data only pertains to systems with Steam installed, and which have agreed to participate in the study, so they may not be 100% correct as to how different systems are actually used.
Unsurprisingly, Windows 10 still leads, with a share of almost 59.43%, 1.08% less compared to the previous month. In turn, Windows 11 is now at 35.75%, which represents an increase of 1.76%.
In the end, 96.77% of Steam users log in using Windows, while 1.79% use macOS and 1.44% use Linux. Note that Windows values still include Windows 7 and 8.1.
This demonstrates that Windows 11 is increasingly becoming the choice for users, and it is expected that it will eventually surpass Windows 10. However, taking into account the values, it may still take some time for this happen.
