For Windows 10, we quickly got used to Microsoft supplying us with two major update packages each year. These were always published in spring and autumn and usually brought a number of new tweaks and improvements.

As a result, the Windows 10 operating system and the programs preinstalled in it, which come directly from the workshop of an American software company, have changed very dramatically in the last few years.

However, Microsoft does not expect such a high frequency of large updates in the case of Windows 11. Giant updates bringing new features and enhancements will only be released once a year. Of course, regular security updates will be released every month, as part of which we can also see minor improvements.

But that doesn’t change the fact that there will be only one big update. We should probably see the first one next year, because the Windows 11 operating system will be released this autumn.

The start is in the middle
Windows 11 brings a completely innovated design, which is characterized by light blue color, new icons or rounded corners of windows and menus. Also completely new is the Start menu, which is now located in the middle of the main bar, similar to other application shortcuts – supposedly to be “closer to the touch” to users.

New are Windows Widgets. We already know a similar feature from mobile platforms, it will basically be live windows, in which important information that the user will care about will be displayed. For example, messages, calendar entries, reminders, weather, etc. The individual windows can be freely rearranged and resized.

Representatives of the company emphasized that the whole system was designed to make work more agile and pleasant. In addition to the modified Start menu, this can be seen, for example, in updates, which should be about half as small as in the case of Windows 10. All improvements should gradually reach users faster.

However, the US hardware giant has not yet released the exact hardware parameters. However, it can be assumed that the elevens will run on the same configuration as the currently offered tens.

Emphasis on the player
Great emphasis was also placed on players in the new version of the system. Microsoft promises that in the eleven, individual titles will load much faster. At the same time, thanks to the support of AutoHDR technology, the Windows 11 operating system will offer top graphics for individual titles even without the intervention of developers.

In addition, applications that were originally intended for the Android mobile platform will be installed in the new system.
