The Ministry of Health (Minsa) in an articulated work with the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) carried out the campaign to vaccinate the users of the Pensión 65 program in the square of the Mi Perú area of the Ventanilla district in Callao.
During the campaign, he was immunized with the bivalent vaccine against Teodosia Gamboa, 105 years old, and Miguel Castro Tasaico, 102 years old.who invited the population to protect themselves against covid-19.
In this way, the Minsa continues to strengthen the strategy of bringing the vaccine closer to vulnerable populations, especially people over 60 years of age who must have the bivalent vaccine to avoid severe cases of the disease.
Lic. Irene Gonzáles, a member of the technical team of the Immunization Directorate, urged families to complete their doses against covid-19 by going to vaccination centers and health establishments.
“It is important that older adults have all their full vaccinations because they are people at high risk of getting sick, getting complicated and dying, and they can also have different sequelae. For this reason, families that have older adults at home should go to the health center to vaccinate them, ”he indicated.
The Pensión 65 program serves, at the national level, 627,924 adults over 65 years of age in a situation of vulnerability at the national level through the delivery of a monetary subsidy that allows them to increase their well-being.
