Wind turbines interfere with TV signals – must shut down temporarily

The turbines must be stopped until the problems have been fixed.

It was in the autumn that NVE (Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate) was informed that the newly built wind farm affected the TV signals to the neighbors.

The wind power plant was told to put in place permanent and temporary solutions that meant that the TV signals were corrected by 6 November. This was not arranged, and thus they were ordered to stop two of the turbines.

This did not help, and thus the rest of the turbines must also be stopped, says NVE.

– The licensee shall send NVE a confirmation that the turbines have been stopped no later than 16.11.2020 at 15.00, it is stated in the decision.
