Sustainability, smart design and Scandinavian comfort are the focus of the hotel’s furnishings. Earthy colors as well as rust-red and beige tones dominate the interior design, which was created by the Swedish architectural firm Koncept. In all 234 rooms, the beds are made of textiles that have been awarded the “Green Button” seal. The floors are made of real wood and the stylish lamps contain LEDs and energy-saving bulbs.
Located in the up-and-coming Macherei district, the hotel has an attractive clinker brick façade that is reminiscent of the brickworks that used to be located here. The Scandic Munich Macherei also spoils its guests with culinary delights – the hotel’s own Zieglerei restaurant offers an exciting fusion of international classics, Bavarian delicacies and Scandinavian culinary highlights on its menu.
Breakfast, with at least 50 percent organic ingredients and a selection of specialties from local producers, ensures the perfect start to the day. Tuesday to Thursday, except during holiday periods or special events, working people use the business lunch, while in the evening delicious, seasonal dishes are served not only to hotel guests. The in-house wood-fired oven creates a particularly hyggelig atmosphere. From 4 p.m., the chic bar tempts guests with tasteful cocktail creations or a delicious organic espresso. The hotel’s living room area is seamlessly connected to this. This invites you to linger, read or relax in a cozy ambience with Scandinavian design. If you prefer something a little wilder, try a game of table football or pool at one of the tables.
