Friuli-Venezia Giulia with taste: The most north-eastern of the Italian regions enchants with its diverse landscape. But dedicated winemakers, environmentally friendly chocolate makers, tradition-conscious master butchers and quality-loving coffee roasters also live and work there. Alps-Adriatic specialist Nicole Richter takes us on her very personal journey of good taste.
Ljubljana for advanced learners: Just a short drive away, the bubbly, lively and friendly Slovenian capital is still an insider tip. And a dream destination for all those who are looking for cultural and linguistic, culinary and architectural diversity before ending the day in a beer garden on the Ljubljanica. Georges Desrues and Erich Bernard reveal insider tips.
Spontaneous with a plan – Carinthia: Fragrant mountain air while hiking, tickling grass on warm skin and the refreshing coolness of the Carinthian lakes – the natural paradise of Carinthia is the travel destination for all active holidaymakers, summer visitors and those who like to be adventurous. The busy Claudia Lux reveals the best insider tips and classics. A valuable guide not only for tourists.
The Styrian cuisine: Styria presents itself as a great delicatessen and a true land of milk and honey for connoisseurs. With a lot of love and a feeling for tradition, Johann Pabst and Aaron Jahrmann show how to cook “typically Styrian” today without having to forego contemporary cooking techniques and eating habits.
Christmas as it used to be: Inge Friedl listened to people in town and country as they talked about the past, when Christmas was made the most beautiful celebration of the year with simple means. These personal stories accompany us through the four weeks of Advent until the end of the year – and inspire us to revive traditions in order to rediscover the essence of this special time.
