Win 1-0, Spurs Top of the Premier League standings

Tottenham Hotspur painstakingly conquering West Bromwich Albion in the eighth week Premier League 2020/21. The goal at the end of the match brought the Spurs to a narrow 1-0 win.

At The Hawthorns, Sunday (8/11/2020), Tottenham did not do much in the first half. But in the second half, they started to get up and finally won thanks to a header Harry Kane in the 88th minute.

With this result, the care squad Jose Mourinho soared to the top Premier League standings with 17 points. Meanwhile, West Brom are on the brink of relegation, placing 18th and have only collected 3 points.

Four minutes later, West Brom again wasted opportunities. This time it was Jake Livermore’s long shoot that failed to aim at the target. The first half closed with the score 0-0.

In the second half, West Brom continued the pressure. Dara O’Shea got a chance with a header in the 47th minute, but it was still wide. A minute later, it was Robinson’s long-distance shot that bounced.

Tottenham got a good chance in the 50th minute. Harry Kane give good feedback to Gareth Bale, but the Welsh winger failed to turn it into a goal. Five minutes later, it was Bale’s turn to pass Kane, but still didn’t change the score.

Tottenham got good momentum and returned to attack. Sergio Reguilon unleashed a long-range shot in the 59th minute, but West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone managed to block it.

West Brom is depressed. Son also got a chance in the 63rd minute, and this time Johnstone again managed to save his shot.

The host pressed back. Furlong came close to scoring in the 71st minute after taking advantage of a Krovinovic corner, but Lloris managed to clear the opportunity.
